The series of annual compilations of remarkable records of
Microlepidoptera is continued
for the 32nd year.
The weather in the main collecting season was mostly rainy
resulting in
poor collecting and probably also in low population numbers. Especially
many miners
were not to be seen. Also immigrants were few.
In spite of this six species are reported new to Sweden,
two of them through splitting of well-known species, Acleris stettinensis (Leraut
2003) and Eucosma fulvana (Stephens 1834).
Other new residents are Lampronia
standfussiella (Zeller 1839), Tinea steueri G. Petersen
1966 and Clepsis nybomi (Hackman 1950).
The first specimen of the immigrant Antigastra
catalaunalis (Duponchel 1833)
was collected.
Regrettably, Cnephasia alticolana
must be deleted from the Swedish list because of
misidentification.
At present 1694 species of Microlepidoptera are known from
Sweden.
