Ed Cassidy is most famous for his work with the group Spirit that he co-founded with guitarist Randy California, but he has also recorded with such musical greats as Taj Mahal, Ry Cooder and Mason Williams. In the jazz field he has played with great musicians like Roland Kirk, Roy Ayers, Dexter Gordon, Les McCann, Zoot and Ray Sims, the Condoli Brothers, Gerry Mulligan and many more over the years. Cass as he likes to be called, recorded on approximately 15 Spirit albums.
