On line record stores

Most of these stores have at least a few Spirit albums. I have only tried any of them yet, but I think most of them are pretty big so they should be reliable. Remember that Spirit is selling some of their newer albums and videos via their own web page Thanks to the members off the Spirit mailing list who helped me update this page!

MUSIC BOULEVARD

CD NOW-when I checked their site they seemed to have almost all the currently available Spirit CD:s.

PENTAGON RECORDS-I think they had about 5-6 different Spirit CD:s when I checked them out.

CHEAP OR WHAT! (used to be PASTEL BLUE) (U.K.) has several Spirit albums.

TERRAPIN RECORDS (U.K.)-has a few Spirit albums.

CALIFORNIA ALBUMS-this is an on line record auction, and this is where I found the Country album and the Jay Ferguson/Live album. I don't know if they have any Spirit stuff now, but it's worth a try. Has regular adverts in Goldmine.

METRO MUSIC-this place should at least have one or two Spirit albums. Has regular adverts in Goldmine.

WWW.WINYL.COM in New Jersey.

MAGPIE (UK) - good for obscure stuff I'm told.

In Sweden...:

SKIVHUGGET in Goteborg, Sweden. Possibly the best recordstore in Europe. Will send records to the US and other countries. Probably a good place if you want get records from Europe.

BENGANS I GÖTEBORG Another good recordstore in Sweden.

DIRTY RECORDS Dirty Records sells used albums and CD's.

Off line recordstores

This recommendation is from Ian on the Spirit list:

Stand Out Records, 2 Blenheim Crescent, Notting Hill, London, London W111NN. Tel/Fax (+44) (0)171 727 8406. Open 10-6.3 Friday and Saturday only. There are 2 shops in one, Bill Allerton's Stand Out is on the right while Bill Forsyth's Minus Zero is on the left. Can't recommend these two shops highly enough - I've whiled away many an hour and many a pound here! Loads of 60s and 70s psych etc and also the only place in London for current US power pop and alt country if that's your bag.
I'd also add Terrapin Records - must admit I haven't been there for a while but I have bought my copy of Time Circle at their Crouch Hill shop. They also have a good collection of other 60s and 70s west coast (and UK) material exspecially Grateful Dead. A quick web search revealed that they now have 2 shops, the other in Chelsea. Here's the poop from the web site:
